Won't you ease my mind?
Is anything ever really yours? Have you ever really thought about it? I mean, look around you. Name one thing that you can truly possess, that isn't going to die, isn't going to fall apart.
People pass away, object break, get lost or stolen. What is truly yours? It's easy to not care about the material things, and sometimes, even people. But when you give yourself the impression that something is actually yours? Losing them is the scariest thing in the whole world.
Maybe Elizabeth Blake was wrong, the art of losing isn't easy. It's just something we all get use to.
On a more metaphysical note, Jonba is asleep in a box.
Call me, call me,
Let me know it's all right.
Call me, call me,
Don'cha think it's 'bout time?

It was a mistake and I did whatever was necessary to correct that mistake.

*He makes no comment. He knows how this will go.*
no subject
You are foolish little man, I thought your people were suppose to be smart.
no subject
And how am I foolish? Listening to her? So far I have heard little reason not to.
no subject
Yes, for listening to her you are foolish. That's true, I bet she's really convincing on her back.
no subject
*Hiro smirks a bit.* When she is on her back, side, front, whatever, you are not part of the discussion.
no subject
*His eyes narrow, fingers curl.* It makes me sick, thinking about you on her. Oh, you don't think so? You don't ever think that she asks you to do things that she thinks I would do to her?
She never asked you to call her little girl?
no subject
Why should it make you sick, sir? If you have no desire for her, which, as a parent, you should not, then you should be happy that she has found someone else to be with, to take such hated attention from you. After all, that is a normal relationship between a father and daughter. You should be very happy to see her getting what she desires without having to involve you in it.
Of course, if it is merely bigotry, then I feel sorry for you.
no subject
*For a long time he's silent, clearly backed into something of a corner.* What father wants to hear about someone taking advantage of her like that. Plus she can do so much better then you. It has nothing to do where you're from, where ever that is, you people all look a like to me.
no subject
I am hardly marrying your daughter for money, sir. I have a great deal of it. My father's company has many offices all over the world, including New York. I am quite a good "catch". Your daughter is getting someone she loves who can keep her in the lifestyle to which she is accustomed. I think, personally, she has done very well for herself.
no subject
Ah, so your that Nakamura. I suppose that's good, because she's not getting anything from me. But money wasn't what I was talking about.
no subject
And to what were you referring, sir?
no subject
You're a smart boy. Figure it out.
no subject
As to that, sir, I would think you would not wish to hear any of it, but I will say that she has not made a single complaint.
no subject
Oh you have no idea how much it thrills me to learn that you can fuck like a man. She'll get tired of you, and move on.
no subject
According to you. However, I understand that you projecting here.
no subject
*Laughs.* You really think it was she who left me?! It is most assuredly the other way around.
no subject
Is that why you had her locked away? If you do not want her, then why can her parents not take care of her, take her off your hands? Surely, it must be a burden to care for a woman you do not want. You have her child, there is no reason for you to hang onto her.
no subject
Are you talking about my wife? We're married, it's my husbandly duty to take care of her, and there's no way I would ever divorce her. I love her too much, I am more then happy to take care of my wife.
What's mine is mine, no one else's.
no subject
So, who left you? Your daughter? If so, then you have even less of a hold than you assume. You have no right to tell your daughter what to do, especially since she is now of age. She is not yours; she is her own person.
no subject
That's where you're wrong. She likes to go and play, but always comes back home. She is mine, she will always be mine.
no subject
For a man who accuses his daughter of attempting to seduce him, you seem very adamant in holding onto her in a manner I find quite disturbing. Would it not be better for you to have her marry someone else and deflect those desires from you? It would also allow you more time with your wife.
no subject
Have you ever thought I'm trying to protect you?
no subject
I know how to protect myself. You need not worry about me when it comes to your daughter and you need not worry about her when it comes to me.
