This is a bit more tricky, since he's been given two words, finally he nods his head. "Okasan!"

"Very good! Ok, your new phrase today is 'watashi no namae wa Jonba'."

He puts Jonba on his shoulders so that Jonba can see everything from high up.

In "Lawrence of Arabia", Omar is Ardith Bey.

"Watashi no namae wa Jonba!" He seems very pleased with his homework assignment.

On his shoulders, he plays with Hiro's hair, patting the spiky strands.

Ahhhhhh I knew that sounded familiar, I've never seen all of that movie.

"Very good! Watashi no namae wa Hiro."

Hiro is walking along doing an obon dance which is rather bouncy.

Oh you should. It's a great movie.

"Watashi! He-woo! You He-woo, me Jonba! Jonba up high!" See Jonba. See Jonba state the obvious.

Jonba wiggles on his shoulders, dancing along with Hiro.


Maybe next weekend, one epic movie at a time.

"Yes, Jonba is up high! He can see to the end of the world!"

Hiro continues his dance. He can't wait until they are in matching happi coats and dancing away in Osaka.

Definitely. You really need the time to savor it.

"End ah da wolld?"

He bends over his head to look at the older man.

"You can see a long, long, long way away up there, yes?"

He thinks Jonba's head hanging upside down in front of his is very silly.

"Yes! Wong way!" He points out to the distance, indicating the horizon.

Looking back down at him, he pokes at his mouth and cheeks.

*Hiro tries to lick his fingers.*

"Nu-huh! No end of world!"

Jonba starts to giggle, and soon it is a game to him. Though it is unclear if he is trying to get Hiro's tongue, or avoiding getting licked by Hiro.

"You are certain? You do not see the dragons there?"

*Hiro will let his fingers get close before he tries licking them.*

"Dwagon?" Jonba peers close and then gasps. "Yes! Dwagons! I see!" He doesn't.

He gives a squealing giggle as he gets licked, lifting his hands he shakes them before trying to get Hiro's tongue again.

"I cannot see them because I am so low down here! You must make sure I do not walk into the dragon's mouth. He would be very upset if I did."

*Hiro continues to try and lick his fingers. when they get near his mouth.*

"Ohhh! Ohtay!" He has no idea what he actually has to do, but it sounds very important. A few moments later when he had just been licked (again) he gave a squeaky gasp.

"Dwagon mouf He-woo! Dwagon mouf!"

"Oh no! Where? Where? Where?" He's running around in little circles. "I cannot step in his mouth or he will be angry with me!"

Shrieking with laughter, he grabs a hold of Hiro as he is spun around. The poor boy is getting dizzy, his eyeballs nearly rolling around in his head.

Hiro stops. "Is the dragon in front of me?"

Groaning, he leans back, and blinks blearily. "Yes! He gonna eat He-woo! Gonna eat Jonba!"

Hiro turns around and heads in the opposite direction. "Is he chasing us?"

The boy is flung around when Hiro turns and he thinks it's the best thing EVAR. "Yes!" Then he growls, pretending to be the dragon. "Grrrrr! Dwagon EAT He-woo!"

"Oh no!" Hiro begins running, not too fast because he's a bit off-balance with Jonba on his shoulders. "Please do not eat me, Mr. Dragon! I will be good!"

"Eat nummy he-woo!" Growling still, he grabs hold of Hiro before licking his forehead. "Mmmm."

"No, please do not eat me, Mr. Dragon! I am not nummy! I am tough and stringy, Mr. Dragon!"
